Welcome to my Web site. My name is Alex Gogerly, I live in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and have relatives (brothers, sisters and cousins) in Brisbane and Sydney Australia, England and Ceylon. I am currently a man of leisure having "Given up work" a few years ago. Prior to my very early retirement I was an Executive, Senior Manager, Risk Asset Review with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia a job I thoroughly enjoyed and one that took me all over Australia. As a result I have been to places I would not normally have visited and to some places I wouldn't want to visit again!!

One thing I am interested in and have spent a lot of time on (approximately eight years) is genealogy and this site has been primarily created for those members and friends of the family who are interested in the "Gogerly" genealogy, the origins of the name and the history associated with it.

I have not included the entire "Gogerly" genealogy in this site due to the fact there are in excess of 350 names on the family tree. However anyone interested can contact me and I will be more than happy to share with them what information I have.
